The architect, Mr. Andreas Altmayer, the head of The Circle of Innovation at Swarovski in Austria, was the innovator for the use of Swarovski crystals. He incorporated 3.5 million crystals into the interior décor of the resort. The windows are expansive and allow the outside sunlight to literally dance off the crystals. The combination of crystal and light creates an enchanting sparkling effect.

The resort was the brainchild of Gernot Langes-Swarovski, patriarch of the Swarovski crystal family. His interest in healthy living, and creating a European wellness retreat, drove him to build this resort in his beloved Okanagan Valley.

The closest airport, Kelowna International Airport (YLW), has both domestic and international flights. The hotel is a short drive from the airport. The resort offers a helipad for accommodating private helicopters as well.
