What is The Club Lounge at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay?

The Club Lounge at the Ritz-Carlton is a private lounge requiring an upgrade purchase price with your room. The lounge is located usually on a special floor of the hotel, that only Club Lounge rooms can access. The lounge features an endless array of beverages and culinary offerings throughout the day. These offerings are referred to as “presentations”. The presentations are a variety of small bites of various types of cuisines. All are prepared with a chef’s special touch leaving a signature for each Ritz-Carlton location.

The private Ritz-Carlton club lounge at Half Moon Bay is located on the 5th floor. The lounge is situated to take advantage of the views of the ocean and the golf course that is located on the property. Several tables are located next to the windows so that you can enjoy your glass of champagne while relaxing and gazing at the beautiful coastline.

The culinary offerings or “presentations” are a wonderful variety sure to please every palate. I appreciated the range of foods and the smaller portion sizes. This way you can try several different unique dishes, which is a plus over a standard dining experience.

Presentations:

The Half Moon Bay Club Lounge offers five culinary presentations each day:

• 🌟 Club Breakfast 7 to 11 a.m.
• 🌟 Lunch 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
• 🌟 Light Snack 2 to 4 p.m.
• 🌟 Hors d’Oeuvres & Cocktails 5 to 8 p.m.
• 🌟 Evening Desserts 8 to 10 p.m.

The lounge features seasonal and regional ingredients, providing fresh and interesting creations. I looked forward each day to see what was offered. There were new selections offered every day.

Dedicated Concierge Team:

The Club Lounges have dedicated concierge teams that will help you with any questions or needs during your stay. What I appreciate is having answers to your questions or having requests completed, like making dining reservations, while you are relaxing in one of the many cozy chairs or sitting by the fireplace. I was also able to get great advice on area activities and making reservations for those we selected.

The Club lounge also beckons with jars of sweets that are left out to tempt us through out the day and night! Snacks for those “on the go” are available as well.

I also took advantage of the abundant “healthy” choices offered to those of us watching our waistline (like yours truly)!

While we were staying, several people were utilizing the board and card games that were offered in the lounge. There was plenty of seating and space, so that you can have both private or social time.

Beverages:

I truly enjoy the beverage selections as well. There are nice wines, cocktails, sodas, etc. offered. My choice is champagne, and it is available throughout the day! The staff is so wonderful and attentive, that I never needed to ask for a glass. They understood my taste, and made sure that my glass was ready. Thank you!

Desserts:

Let’s now focus on the amazing, incredible, fantastic desserts! This is where anyone would be challenged to eat just one. Not only did they look artistic and beautiful, they were as good as they looked!

Final Thoughts:

Since experiencing my first Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge several years ago, I have been hooked. For me this has really added to every stay I have experienced. The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay Club Lounge is no exception to the quality and class that I have come to enjoy. From the culinary dishes, luxury environment, views, and cozy fireplace, to the exceptional staff, this is a wonderful enhancement to your stay. I would recommend paying the extra to upgrade your stay to the Club Lounge level. The benefits far outweigh the additional costs.
