One of the great features about San Jose is the restaurants. There are so many to choose from that will satisfy your tastes. However, one that stood out for me was the District! If you are looking for that upbeat, contemporary ambiance that offers an extensive menu of wine, cocktails, and whiskey than this is your place!

The District is a special place to gather and enjoy a great dining experience with family and friends. The restaurant specializes in wine, whiskey, and cocktails but their menu is not to be overlooked for inventive and tasty selections.

The District’s aura lends itself to gathering and enjoying a cocktail, ordering some plates to share and enjoying the vibe of being downtown.

It is in the middle of San Pedro Square. Conveniently located a short distance from the SAP Center It would be a great stop before or after an event.

The bar and restaurant offer an extensive variety of libations. The menu itself is very impressive with one of the city’s most wide-ranging and diverse wine and whiskey options as well as specialty cocktails.

I even stepped out of my comfort zone of only ordering champagne, and ordered from the whiskey tasting menu and discovered new selections that I enjoyed immensely.

The menu is broad and innovative and offers a large selection of flavorful new insights toward comfort food. The outcome is a bar and restaurant where you enjoy friends and family and has a individual tasting experience that is lively and at the same time communal!

Happy Hour at the District is between the hours of 4:00 – 6:00 Monday – Saturday 

The Happy Hour is $6.00 for good drinks, wine, and beer. Small bite dishes for $6.00 as well. A great way to enjoy a pre-dinner treat! 

MARGHERITA PIZZA

Cherry tomato, fresh mozzarella and basil

MAPLE BACON FLATBREAD

Beer braised onions, créme fraiche, mustard greens

Final Thoughts:

I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. Keep in mind that the setting is exciting, trendy, and energetic! Combine the atmosphere with great food, and you have a formula for a great evening dining and drinking experience. Cheers to enjoying and partaking of the fun at District in San Jose!
