To help you plan your stay at the Avenue of The Arts Hotel in Costa Mesa, here are 5 travel tips that you need to know!
🌟5StarTips:
🌟 Artistic Interior/Exterior Design Features
Once you enter the lobby, you are greeted by the artistry of the interior design. Welcoming plush plum couches invite you in and animal print furniture pieces provide a contrasting whimsical touch. Sleek glass and metal accents help the hotel find the perfect balance between chic modern and yet is inviting and exudes soothing comfort.
During your checking-in, it becomes clear that the friendly staff is there to meet your every need. A larger than life, back-lit photo, of a musician playing the sax behind the front desk accentuates the City of the Arts theme, as do other art pieces of varying artistic styles appearing throughout the hotel.
As you walk beyond the lobby, you find an outdoor area that is a perfect spot for relaxing — a place to meet and enjoy an intimate outdoor gathering with friends or family.
The atrium to the right reveals a meandering, soothing blue stream of water running the length of the hotel – again adding to such a peaceful feeling.
The design team has pulled off an edgy, modern atmosphere with peaceful respite – and it works beautifully.
It comes as no surprise that Avenue of The Arts Hotel is known as one of the most “Instagrammable” hotels in the area. Get your camera ready, as you will want to take lots of pictures of the art and interior dĂ©cor.
🌟 Location
The Avenue of The Arts provides an unmatched location which will allow easy access to some of the best of Costa Mesa known as the “City Of The Arts.” Located directly across from the Segerstrom Center of The Arts, you can easily stroll across the street to enjoy theatre and dining options. The grandeur of the outdoor huge glass modern chandelier soaring over the entrance beckons you to enter.

Walking paths
Stepping out the back entrance of the hotel you find yourself in an unexpected oasis with large open spaces, walking paths, a large lake with running waterfalls and fountains nestled in this urban setting surrounded by sleek high-rises .
The Unity Bridge Walk to South Coast Plaza Shopping Center
A convenient option is to take the Unity Bridge that leads you directly from the Segerstrom Campus area over to South Coast Plaza shopping. The bridge allows you to avoid the busy streets altogether. The bridge is easily accessed just outside the back patio of the Vaca restaurant.
Pool and Gym
🌟 Luxury Room – Executive Suite King Room
If you are looking for a luxury stay, I would highly recommend reserving the Executive Suite King Room. The room is expansive, around 700 sq. ft and has an exceptionally comfortable king bed with luxury linens.
The Executive Suite King Room provides the following:
- A large living room area with a sofa sleeper couch and lounging chairs
- Dining table with four chairs
- Separate bedroom with king bed
- (the mattress was so comfortable that I am considering buying this for my home!)
- Complimentary Wi-Fi (offered in all rooms throughout the hotel)
- 55-inch flat-screen TV
- Bathroom with shower and a small makeup area
- 2 Balconies – One off the Living room area and one off the bedroom including a small table with two chairs
- Shower
- Robes and slippers
- Keurig coffee maker
I was really impressed with my Executive Suite King room. There is plenty of space to lounge and relax, and I appreciated having the balcony located off the bedroom to sit and sip a glass of champagne at the end of the day. The Executive Suite Room boasts cobalt blue and white furniture with modern, yet plush fabrics. Polished gold, glass, and stone accents amplify the chic comfort throughout the hotel. The full-length windows provide plenty of natural light – a feature I look for. The bedroom closes off from the main seating area with a sliding opaque glass door in case you are traveling with an early riser!
🌟5StarTip:
Reserve a room on the top three floors with views of the walking paths and fountains. With large glass sliding doors and balcony, it is a welcome place to relax, take in the sights, and feel at peace!

Silver Trumpet Bar
The Silver Trumpet Bar is a great place to enjoy a drink before or after a day in the city or after a performance at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. The bar includes an outdoor patio as well.
A pop of soft pink light in the glass behind the bar and the lustrous glossy bar surface invites you to sit down and enjoy a cocktail. Having just left Segerstrom Hall after a brilliant production of the Phantom of the Opera, we were in a celebratory mood and opted for champagne. I will say the signature cocktails looked fabulous and I’ll definitely be going back to try these soon. Like the hotel itself, the bar décor achieves that balance between hip modern and a hint of romance. Large, golden curved light fixtures reminiscent of Cathedral domes throughout Europe give a nod to old-world romance. And sleek white couches and chairs, as well as glass and shiny metallic surfaces, signal chic modern.
