Most of us appreciate and enjoy a good breakfast. A complimentary breakfast is a wonderful addition to your stay. Most luxury hotels will offer a complimentary buffet option. However, always check to see if an a la carte menu option is available in the restaurant as well. I have also enjoyed delivered breakfast to your room, upon request, at several hotels I’ve stayed in. What a treat this is! And….it never hurts to ask!

🌟 Guest Toiletries:

Many luxury hotels are now offering a higher end selection of toiletries from expensive brand names. Select hotels may offer other essentials that you might have forgotten at home, such as (travel size):

• Toothbrush and toothpaste
• Deodorant
• Shaving kit
• Cotton balls and swabs
• Sewing kit
• Shoe polish
• Hairspray
• Makeup remover

If you are staying in a luxury hotel that is rated four stars or above, you can often call and ask for any of these items to be delivered to your room. Many of these items are already in the room when you check in.

A luxury hotel that values its guests will be known for sending the guest a complimentary bottle of wine and a small appetizer tray or treat. This is more common for guests that are loyalty members with a higher status with the hotel. I often ask when I am checking in if the hotel offers such an amenity. When you are paying a premium price for a room, it is fabulous to have these delivered to your room to enjoy at your leisure.

🌟 Wellness and Spa Access:

Luxury hotels often allow complimentary access to their spa and fitness center that are included in your “resort fees.” For hotels that have a full-service spa facility, this can be an excellent addition to your stay. Check to see when you are making your room reservations if the hotel/resort has a spa facility. Why not take advantage of this if you are paying for it anyway!?!?

Luxury hotels (especially five-star) will often offer a complimentary car service to locations within a certain radius of the hotel as an amenity. This service is usually on a first come, first serve basis. The best way to learn whether this service is available is to check with the front desk or concierge.

We all expect a higher level of service and benefits when staying at a luxury hotel. Knowing what some of these extra’s are can enhance your stay to a higher level.
