Grand Hyatt DFW offers 5 star luxury plus easy access to and from the airport!

I fly quite often with American Airlines. DFW is one of their major hubs, and I have found myself several times in need of an overnight stay. I selected the Grand Hyatt DFW on a number of occasions and have been extremely pleased each and every time.

Location:

The Grand Hyatt DFW is conveniently located and easily accessed from the airport. You can reach the Grand Hyatt from any terminal by using the Skylink or Terminal Link tram. The Grand Hyatt is located in Terminal D. There are plenty of signs to direct you after you exit the Skylink. By following the signs, you will exit past the TSA checkpoint. Take the escalator, or elevator, up to the reception lobby area to check in. There are bar and restaurant areas next to the lobby that create a nice respite from the airport as well.

Rooms:

I have stayed in an executive suite room on a couple of overnight stays in this past year. This room is quite large and has expansive windows to highlight the wonderful views of the tarmac. The views of the airport at night are especially enjoyable. The rooms have soundproofing and offer a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The chic room design uses muted grays and is modern contemporary. The furniture, TV, lighting, and bed were of nice quality and well maintained. The feel of the room is luxury with a minimalist attitude.

Bathroom:

The bathroom is a sleek design with black marble and gray accents. The shower in the executive suite is separate from a large soaking tub. The water pressure in the shower was pleasing and was especially appreciated after a long flight! The bathroom offers some amenities. If you are missing any toiletries, Hyatt has a wonderful program where you can call and receive an assortment of items you may have left behind. In my case, I forgot my hairspray. I called the front desk and a travel sized hairspray was delivered immediately. Impressive!

Linens:

The linens and towels were of a high quality. Robes were provided in the room.

Staff:

The staff that I encountered during my staff were all notable for their service. The front desk gentlemen and the room service staff stood out as being extremely personable and helpful.

Dining:

There are a couple of dining options at the hotel. The hotel offers the Grand Met restaurant w/bar lounge area, a sushi bar, and the Moka restaurant (small coffee shop). The Grand Met bar lounge offers areas to sit and work on your computer while enjoying a drink. This is a business bar atmosphere for work as well as relaxation.

Views:

The Grand Hyatt DFW was well designed to take advantage of the airport views, while at the same time creating a sound buffer from the airport activities and noises.

The hotel did a great job of recognizing Diamond Status with Hyatt Gold Passport program. I requested the complimentary amenity of sparkling wine and a hummus appetizer. The amenities were delivered to my room and I found them to be satisfying and generous. I also appreciated that I was able to enjoy the complimentary breakfast in my room. I was leaving quite early that morning, and I didn’t want to take the time to go to the restaurant. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful. I ordered an egg white omelet, green tea, and a side of guacamole and sour cream. Yum!

Final Thoughts:

The Grand Hyatt DFW is a fabulous place to stay for a nice overnight when arriving or departing from Dallas. The hotel is maintained at a high level of service, room comfort, and luxury which I have enjoyed each time I have had the opportunity to stay there. I will be looking forward to booking other stays at this property in the near future. Compliments to the management and staff of this hotel!
