The Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown
The first thing you need to know about the Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown, even before you walk into the stunning lobby area, is how ideally it is located to the historic Georgetown area. Fashionable and chic, the hotel’s location offers you the ability to easily access and explore the shops, restaurants and beauty of this upscale area.
Location:
The hotel is an easy 15-20 minutes drive from the suggested airport – Ronald Reagan (DCA). From Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), it is around 35 minutes, and about 45 minutes from Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). Upon entering the lobby, the striking artistry hits you. With glittering prisms hanging from the ceiling, and decorative touches that represent the season, you are just beginning your fabulous stay.
The natural lighting from the expansive windows in the lobby bar area invites you to sit, order a glass of champagne and relax while conducting a business meeting or just enjoying friends.

Accommodations:
All rooms have been renovated recently and luxury has been emphasized. With new décor, bedding, and luxury linens, you are sure to feel pampered in any room!
The Georgetown suite is sure to satisfy those of us who are looking for that special luxury “Presidential Suite” room stay. The living room area is gorgeous and a wonderful place to entertain for business or leisure.
5StarTip🌟:
However, if you would like that Always5Star extra level of luxury, I would highly recommend reserving or upgrading your room to the Gold Level rooms. These rooms are situated on a dedicated floor that allows you private access to their exclusive Fairmont Gold Lounge. The lounge is staffed by a team that are devoted to anticipating your every need. This includes reservations for dinner, special planning, arranging for transportation, directions, and other concierge services. I found the staff and their services to be wonderful. I really appreciated the extra level of care.
Utilizing the facilities at different times of the day, you will find various complimentary food offerings.
During the morning, you will be offered wonderful breakfast options.
During the afternoon, ample and delicious snacks are available.
In the evening, appetizers and beverages are presented. It’s a wonderful place to relax before an evening out. There are plenty of alcohol beverages as well at reasonable prices.
Dining Options:
The Juniper restaurant (situated off the lobby) serves American cuisine with an emphasis on locally grown and sourced fair. With traditional favorites such as a delicious wheat walnut bread with honey butter, to other original selections, you will find something on the menu to please every palate.
The menu is changed seasonally to respect the locally sourced options.
The interior is elegant and yet offers a comfortable and relaxing setting.
The Collonade Event Space:
There are several event spaces at the Fairmont. The one that I particularly fell in love with was the beautiful Colonnade room. The highlight of this space is a gazebo with a dazzling chandelier and a glass domed ceiling. The wood flooring glows, and the minute you walk into this room, you know that any special occasion should be celebrated here.
Final Thoughts:
I have been to this hotel twice while in DC and I am sure to return. I felt that my stay not only presented me the luxury that I love, but the staff was superb as well. They are an efficient and yet approachable service level hotel. I feel confident in saying that this is an Always5Star winner! Cheers to Fairmont for creating a memorable luxury stay in Georgetown, Washington, D.C.! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
