Did you know that the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill has a private lounge for qualifying guests?
It does! The Hyatt calls these lounges the Regency Club Lounge. The lounge offers a complimentary continental breakfast as well as light snacks and beverages during the day. Hors d’oeuvres are served in the evenings. Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages are available, as well as alcoholic beverages at a minimal charge (you will fill out a card).
How to qualify for the Regency Club Lounge:
There are several easy ways to qualify to enjoy this exclusive experience.
Here are 5StarTips🌟 on how to upgrade:
🌟 Upgrade to Regency Club Lounge by purchasing a room that is designated as a Regency Club Lounge. The room will be a bit more than regular room prices, but be sure to consider the costs savings. Breakfast alone might be worth the difference. Adding up the savings on alcoholic beverages, complimentary non-alcoholic beverage, plus evening hors d’oeuvres and desserts, you may find the price difference to be well worth it.
🌟 Elite Status of Globalist: If you are a “World of Hyatt” member and have a Globalist status, the lounge is complimentary during the length of your stay.
🌟 Explorist: If you are a “World of Hyatt” member and have an Explorist status, you may use one of your four Club lounge access awards that you will receive annually.
🌟 Award Points: As a World of Hyatt member at any status, you can purchase this upgrade with points. The Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill hotel is a Category 4 property. It takes 21,000 points per night to book a room with Regency Club Lounge access. See the below chart from the Hyatt website:
🌟 Upon checking in: At certain times of the year, especially during slow seasons, you will be more likely to find an upgrade to the Regency Club Lounge available. When paying for the room, this upgrade maybe offered at a better, last minute savings than what you would have paid online. However, this all depends on room inventory. If you have not purchased this room upgrade, it might be worth a try.
I personally have always upgraded to the Regency Club Lounge at any Hyatt property that offers this experience. I find the lounges to offer a welcome respite from business, leisure activities, etc. They are usually located in a part of the hotel that has wonderful views. This Washington D.C. location is no exception.
During my four night stay, the food presentations were different each evening . I was pleasantly surprised at the level of appetizers that were offered. If you are not careful, you could easily make a meal from what is provided! The food is prepared and delivered from the Article One kitchen and is excellent. The desserts, served at the end of the evening, are definitely worth trying. If you happen upon the chocolate chip cookies, don’t pass them up. They are delicious!!
The other advantages to the lounge is having an area for business/computer usage and to print your airlines boarding passes, etc. The lounge also offers a concierge service, which helps avoid standing in line at the concierge desk downstairs. I love relaxing in the lounge at the end of the day with a glass of the house “Canvas” chardonnay in a comfy couch while having conversations with friends, family, or colleagues. I have met many people over these past years, including employees, that I now count as my friends!
Cheers Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill for a fabulous experience in the Regency Club Lounge!
🌟 Please note: I was not compensated for this post. My opinions are completely my own based on my experiences, which I paid for entirely.
