Hyatt Andaz Napa is an excellent choice for a luxury stay when you want to experience all that downtown Napa has to offer.
The Hyatt Andaz hotel is located on First Street in the heart of Downtown Napa. This modern and quaint property provides an excellent place to stay while visiting wineries and world-class restaurants. As downtown Napa has matured, more opportunities have become available for wine tasting and excellent culinary experiences right in town. The property offers walking distance to several fine eateries and wine tasting shops.

🌟 Lobby and Mercantile Social Bar
One of many advantages to staying at the Hyatt Andaz is the inviting lobby bar and restaurant on the first floor. The area highlights contemporary décor that incorporates the region and pays respect to the city of Napa. The beautiful interior is designed to create an opportunity for business, family, friends to congregate and relax while enjoying a meal or beverages. The Mercantile Social bar offers premier wines, bubbles (my personal favorite), signature cocktails and craft brews. There is live acoustic music that is performed weekly as well.

Along with your stay, wine tastings are offered complimentary daily in the lobby bar area. This was a perk that I enjoyed!
🌟 Rooms
The hotel has 141 guestrooms and suites, many with hardwood floors and white marble bathrooms with rainfall showers. My husband and I treated ourselves and upgraded to the Vintner Suite.
Andaz Vintner Suite
This room is expansive at a 1,000-square-foot with a living room, a separate king bedroom, and a wonderful soaking tub for two and a dual-sided glass fireplace. A table in the dining area can seat eight, 2 large sofas in the living room and two additional chairs, and a terrace with a table for four and two cushy lounge chairs with views of downtown Napa.
The decor is chic and embodies the Napa downtown spirit of wine and fun as you can see from the following pictures.
Note; There is also a guest bathroom off the living room too!
Deluxe Room
On our last stay, we enjoyed a Deluxe room. The Deluxe room offers a separate living room with a fireplace. The fireplace is dual-sided glass that allows you to enjoy a cozy fire from the living room or your king bedroom. The design of the room is sleek while feeling luxurious.
The large soaking bathtub, sitting adjacent to the bed, is a beautiful feature in this room. I appreciated the separate marble bathroom with a shower and two sinks. The counter space was plentiful. A feature I appreciate, as my husband will tell you that I bring way too many cosmetics. So, this feature is especially important when sharing a room with a spouse or family member.
The bed linens were of high quality making the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed the large screen tv’s in both rooms.

The non-alcoholic beverages and snacks provided in all the rooms are complimentary. There are some alcoholic beverages provided as well, for an additional charge.
🌟 Restaurant
Towards the back of the lobby is the Andaz Napa’s “Farmers Table” restaurant. The room presents a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. The menu is designed to honor the farm-to-table culinary experience.
The unique menu selections change to reflect the produce of the season. The chef partners with local farmers to bring enhanced flavors to each dish.

One of my favorite dishes was the breakfast chilaquiles, one of the best chilaquiles I have tasted. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered it two days in a row!
🌟 Mercantile Terrace
The Mercantile Terrace is located on the second floor. The terrace offers a pleasant open-air area for a drink or some food. There are some cozy cabanas with comfy cushioned chairs providing a little more privacy. The firepits have ample seating for those nights with a chill in the air. Bar service is available during certain times of the year to enjoy appetizers and cocktails while gazing at the stars.

The evenings are the perfect time to enjoy this space. We would take a glass of wine up here to enjoy the beautiful Napa weather.
🌟 Location, Location, Location
I cannot express enough how wonderfully situated the Hyatt Andaz is to all that downtown Napa has to offer. My husband and I did not have transportation during our stay, yet we had access to everything by foot we wanted to experience. This offers a great way to get your daily walk and exercise in too!
Downtown Napa has turned into a thriving and superb destination. There are a plethora of activities, within walking distance of the hotel, which adds to your stay!

Final Thoughts:
This was my fourth stay at this hotel. I have been able to enjoy the benefits that I have described above. It is indeed a plus to stay in downtown Napa, to enjoy all that it has to offer, without having to drive. I would describe this stay as a luxury experience especially when you upgrade your stay to a suite. There will certainly be more vacations planned to Downtown Napa in my near future!
